Hatchards of Piccadilly

I was in London on Friday and I was able to indulge my love of books by going to my favourite book shop, Hatchards of Piccadilly. It is the most amazing shop and there are always books that you simply can't get anywhere else. As this is also the premier book shop in London, there are always a number of signed books as most authors will always go to Hatchards for their London signings.

I have collected a large number of signed editions from Hatchards, the latest being Daughter of Empire by Pamela Hicks. Lady Pamela is the daughter of Earl Mountbatten of Burma and when I get a signed copy with this pedigree, I find it amazing that someone so in touch with history has also touched the same book I have in my possession.
